Custom Roll End Tuck Front (RETF) Boxes for Retail Packaging
The Retail Cousin of the Roll End Tuck Top Box
Same basic design, just a cleaner presentation
Custom Roll End Tuck Front (RETF) Boxes
Strong, Practical Design
Roll End Tuck Front (RETF) boxes share the same basic roll-end design as Roll End Tuck Top boxes, with double-thick side walls that give the carton strength and a solid feel. The side panels roll over and lock on the inside to hold the box together, and like the RETT, this style is assembled without glue.
Clean, Polished Presentation
The difference is in the closure. On a Roll End Tuck Front box, the lid closes over the outside front panel instead of tucking inside the box. This hides the cut edge of the front panel for a cleaner, more polished look, making RETF boxes a strong choice for retail packaging where presentation matters.
These cartons ship and store flat to save space, set up quickly, and offer a more refined finished appearance than the tuck-top version. That makes them a good fit for everyday product packaging, especially when a cleaner front panel and more secure closure are part of the appeal.

When Should You Consider Roll End Tuck Front Boxes?
Roll End Tuck Front boxes are a good choice if:
• A very clean front-panel appearance matters — no cut lines visible
• You want a more polished version of a roll-end tuck box
• A more secure closure matters
• Retail presentation is part of the packaging strategy
• You need organized kit packaging with inserts or partitions
When Presentation Matters
Roll End Tuck Front boxes are often chosen when the appearance of the closed box matters as much as the structure. Because the lid closes over the front panel, it hides the cut edge and creates a cleaner, more polished look than the tuck-top version.
Built for Everyday Product Packaging
Like other roll end tuck boxes, the RETF design is strong, stackable, and ships flat to save space. It works well for a wide range of products — from cosmetics and specialty foods to small retail items and product sample kits.
With custom box inserts or partition dividers, the interior can also be organized for multi-component products such as assay kits or diagnostic kits, where vials, bottles, and instructions need to be kept neatly in place.

Cardstock.... or Paperboard?
The paper behind your packaging matters
You may have seen box specs like “18pt cardstock” online — but not all 18pt paper is created equal.
• Cardstock: A thick paper used for crafts, postcards, and invitations. It’s cheaper and technically works for light packaging — but it lacks the stiffness and durability needed for most product boxes.
• Paperboard: A stiffer material engineered specifically for packaging. It folds cleanly, glues reliably, and holds its shape to protect your product — and your brand — on the shelf.
The key is knowing what you’re buying. In retail, your product box is what closes the sale — so it needs to perform and look its best. That’s why we use a quality paperboard — so your packaging doesn’t just hold together, it helps sell what’s inside.
